Takreem handles all of the day-to-day operations for the band and keeps the MMB running smoothly. Picking up the clarinet in fifth grade is when she fell in love with all things music. When she's not planning meetings or being buried in coursework, she loves getting to know her band members.

Sifan Liu ​(she/her)

Operations Director, Percussion
Honours Health Sciences II
Sifan is MMB's operations director, in charge of busing, insurance, MSAFs, and recruitment. Sifan started in band as a percussionist and now continues as a proud member of the drumline.

Samara Rahman (she/her)

Communications Director, Flute
Honours Health Sciences III 
As Communications Director, Samara is responsible for managing event sign up forms, calendars, rehearsal announcements, as well as all other internal and external communications between general members, execs, alumni, and staff. She is your primary source of information on the MMB discord. Outside of marching band, she likes to draw and play video games.

Norah Morrison ​(she/her)

Finance Director, Flute
Actuarial and Financial Mathematics II
Norah is super excited to serve as this year’s Finance Director! In this role, she manages the band’s budget, tracks expenses, and somehow makes sense of all the numbers behind the scenes. This is her second year marching with the band, and she brings over six years of flute-playing experience to the ensemble. Outside of band, Norah is also a proud enthusiast of “grandma” hobbies and her porch goose!

Alaine Hibbert (she/her)

Promotions Director, Flute
Honours Molecular Biology & Genetics III
Alaine brings creativity, energy, and a genuine love for the band to her work in promotions. She plans to find new ways to showcase the band’s story, celebrate its members, and build excitement around events this year!! When she’s not at band, you can find her studying for her upcoming biology test. ❤️

Oie Mok

Social Director, Percussion
Materials Engineering III
As your Social Director, not only bringing snacks and hyping up every event, Oie will make sure everyone enjoys their time vibing with each other in the band! Outside of work, Oie loves anime and games, sometimes sketching or randomly go on exploring secret paths on campus.

Mia Tran​ (she/her)

Logistics Director, Saxophone
Integrated Sciences (Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour) II
Mia is the Logistics Director and manages everything relating to inventory, instruments, and uniforms! She also comes with an alarming amount of unexplained lore, a soft spot for every animal she meets, and a tendency to disappear on spontaneous adventures that somehow escalate far beyond the original plan.

Richard Hull (he/him)

Music Educational Director, Saxophone
Richard's involvement with the McMaster Marching Band began two years ago and was appointed Musical Director in 2023. Richard has been teaching instrumental music at the middle school level with the Halton District School Board since 2006 and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, the Ontario Band Association, and the Ontario Music Educators’ Association. Outside of teaching, directing, and performing with various bands, he maintains an active family focused lifestyle that includes walking his dogs and canoeing.

MaySon Scanlan ​(he/him)

Assistant Director/Drill Instructor, Trumpet
MaySon is a seasoned trumpet player with over 20 years of experience, from Drum Corps International (DCI) to British Brass Bands. Currently, he marches with the Canadian Armed Forces and has performed for heads of state and royalty, specializing in marching music. MaySon also teaches Drill and Marching for Gayly Forward, Canada’s most inclusive LGTBQ+ marching band.
